Anne Claire joined Animalia in 2011 and works alongside her brother, Dr. Blake Malone. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and currently leads our team of client service representatives. Anne Claire loves the passion that cultivated Animalia and adores her work family! She can be found enjoying intentional time with friends, cooking, staying active, indulging in local music and the outdoors with her husband, three children, and two dogs, Maeve and Smoosh Kakes.
Stacey joined Animalia in 2018 after working in the human medical field for 15 years. She soon fell in love with our patients, and they all seem to love her too! When she is not working, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband, their three cats, Spike, Willow and Moonpie, and their adorable pup, Fionnuala.
Sara joined Animalia in 2018 after deciding that she needed a career move to animal welfare. With over 10 years of customer service experience and a heart for rescue, Sara found her perfect fit at Animalia! Outside of work, she can be found spending time with family, friends, and her kitties, Rumples, Kismet, Wiegraf, Sable, Blythe and Ibram. She also fosters cats and kittens for a local animal rescue. Now that she found her home in veterinary medicine, she’s never going back!
Adrian joined the Animalia team in 2020 as her first job out of college, jumping at the opportunity to work in veterinary medicine. She has always loved working with and caring for animals since she was a child. Adrian received her BA from Lipscomb University and has worked in customer service for over 7 years. Outside of work, she can be found cooking, gardening, fostering neonatal kittens, and cuddling her own rescue cats, Minty and O’Malley. Adrian also loves caring for her frogs, Tabasco, Hot Sauce and Spicy.
Hailey joined the Animalia team in 2021 after falling in love with the atmosphere and passion shared by our medical and support staff. She is currently in an online program to become a veterinary technician and has worked closely with animals for over two years before joining Animalia. Outside of work, Hailey spends time at home with her fur babies, including 6 dogs and 3 cats. She enjoys going to the dog park with her largest baby, Bentley, because he loves people and dogs as much as she does.
Julie joined the Animalia team in 2021, but began her career in veterinary medicine back in 2001. Her passion is connecting with clients and making a difference in our patients’ lives through communication with their owners. Julie was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Tennessee in 2013. When not at work, she can be found enjoying anything related to music (she’s quite the songbird) and hanging out with her son, Hunter. Julie truly believes that it’s what’s up front that counts and feels blessed to have gained a work family and place to call home!
Carol brought her big energy and compassion for animals to Animalia in 2022. She has always been passionate about helping animals and pet owners, so veterinary medicine was a natural next step! Carol is currently in vet tech school to further her education in hopes to help more animals. She has gerbils and three cats, Neela, Mitsy, and Devon. Outside of work, Carol can be found spending time with her family and coworkers. She is obsessed with the show, New Girl, petting dogs, and is so grateful to be part of the Animalia family!
Cindy has been with the Animalia family since 2012 and serves as our Surgical Coordinator. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University and received her LVMT degree in 1998. With over 27 years in veterinary medicine, Cindy’s medical interests include surgery and anesthesia, post op recovery, pain control, ultrasonography, endoscopy and senior patient care. She is a lover of spicy and somewhat crabby senior pets, and was inspired by Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue to specialize in senior animal rescue and hospice care. Cindy can be found outside of work rescuing road turtles, collecting sharpies, painting and drawing.
Misty joined the Animalia team in 2016 and is a familiar face around our hospital! She has always had a love of animals and an interest in veterinary medicine. After working as an accountant for 10 years, Misty decided to change careers and pursue her passion of working with animals. She graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Master of Accountancy, and Penn Foster College with an Associates in Veterinary Technology. Misty is Fear Free certified and has a particular interest in anesthesia and analgesia. Outside of work, she can be found spending time with her three dogs, Mayhem, Ruckus and Petunia. She enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, reading, visiting the beach as much as possible, supporting the Nashville Predators, and hanging out at home with her husband and pups!
Paige has been part of the Animalia team since 2020. She has dreamed of working in veterinary medicine since she was a little girl, as Golden Retrievers and helping animals are her two passions. Paige attended Columbia State and received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. She runs our in-house lab with her furry best friend, Minnie Pearl, and can often be found in the kitchen baking when not busy at work!
Tasha joined Animalia in 2021 after moving from Minnesota to Middle Tennessee. She chose Animalia because it most resembled the structure and values of the clinic she previously worked for, while being AAHA-Accredited and following a Fear Free mission. Tasha graduated from Rochester Community & Technical College in Rochester, MN in 2016 and later became Fear Free certified before joining our team. Her professional interests include surgery and working in the lab with blood and cytology samples. Tasha can be found outside of work spending time with her family and three dogs – Stix, Willow, and Daisy. She enjoys being outdoors, visiting family, and occasionally spending quiet days at home with a book & coffee!
Christina happily joined the Animalia team in 2022 after completing a student rotation and shining in the areas of surgery and pharmacy. We quickly fell in love with her unique witt and aptitude, welcoming her to the family with open arms! Christina graduated valedictorian of Columbia State Community College vet tech class of 2022, won the academic excellence award, and recently became a licensed veterinary technician. She has teaching certifications for Cardio Barre and Core Power Yoga, loves to draw, dance, play Dungeons and Dragons, and spend time with her two cats, Baloo and Lil Bit!
Erin joined the Animalia team in 2022 as one of our licensed veterinary technicians. She and her two children spent several years volunteering for Walden’s Puddle Wildlife Rehabilitation and spent two years caring for domestic and farm animals while living on a horse and cattle ranch. After raising and homeschooling both her children, she decided to pursue her love for science and animals by attending Columbia State Community College. There she studied veterinary technology and received her A.S. degree. She loves building relationships and trust with our clients and patients as one of our talented exam room technicians. When she’s not caring for patients and supporting the team at Animalia, Erin is either playing Sudoku, cooking, hiking, dancing, spending time with her human and animal family, or caring for her guests at Muletown Kitty Corral, the animal boarding facility she owns in Columbia, TN.
AJ joined the Animalia team in 2021 after 15 years in the restaurant hospitality business. She is currently at MTSU pursuing her Bachelor’s of Science and Bachelor’s of Animal Science, on track to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian and rediscovering her love of all things science! AJ first found Animalia in 2016 and fell in love with our Fear Free approach to veterinary medicine while she was a client with her own dogs and foster animals. She adores cooking and is always looking for her next favorite restaurant to enjoy! When she’s not at work, AJ can be found with her husband hiking and adventuring outdoors with her four fur babies, Dallas, Jack, Jasmine and Dixie. Although originally from Wisconsin, she now happily considers Tennessee her new home and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team!
Tyler joined the Animalia team in 2021 after starting out in veterinary medicine with a mobile vaccine clinic where he was quickly promoted to Supervisor to lead his team and organize mobile clinics. He was drawn to Animalia after realizing how genuine and passionate we are about our patients and it was an easy decision to join the team! When not at work, Tyler enjoys hiking, drawing, writing, discovering new music, and being lazy with his two kitties, Freddie and Olive.
Originally from Massachusetts, Tina joined the Animalia team in 2022. She began her career in veterinary medicine 12 years ago and has never looked back! As a recent addition to Animalia, she is passionate about the care of our patients. Outside of work, Tina can be found hiking and doing anything that includes water. She enjoys time with her family and furbabies, Tank and Biscuit.
Jeff joined the Animalia team in 2022, after working in the veterinary industry for four years. He has a passion for wildlife and hopes to one day work at a wildlife sanctuary. Outside of work, Jeff can be found spending time with his two year old spunky cat, Sylvester, watching Anime, and taking in a good movie. He is excited about his career at Animalia and we are thrilled to welcome him to the family with open arms!
Makayla joined the Animalia team in 2022 after nearly four years in the banking industry. She knew a career change was necessary and has always had a passionate interest in animals, especially cats. After experiencing the culture at Animalia, Makayla knew we were a perfect fit! This may be her first job in veterinary medicine, but she is excited to learn and grow her skills around the clinic. Outside of work, Makayla can be found reading, playing video games, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. You’ll typically find her hanging out with her husband and their three sweet kitties, Cleo, Freyja, and Drizzt!
Makenzie joined the Animalia team in 2023 as one of our hardworking veterinary assistants. This Northern Illinois native began volunteering at a humane society at the age of 13 and knew she wanted a career working with animals. Makenzie’s first vet medicine job was in 2020 where she fell in love with the industry and has never looked back! She especially enjoys the Fear Free aspect of Animalia and the extended appointment times that ensure each patient has time to acclimate to their surroundings and our team. Outside of work, Makenzie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs, Ella and Enzo, two cats, Tilly and Finn, and their bearded dragon, Bug!
Resident Good Girl
Minnie Pearl is our resident good girl and lab assistant, joining the team in 2020 with her mama and LVMT, Paige. She’s basically a solid block of 14k gold! Minnie Pearl loves her mom, almost as much as she loves her ball! She enjoys swimming in the Westhaven pond, riding ATV’s and feeding cows with her family. She majored in Ball is Life and minored in Emotional Support.
